Training Program
In its endeavor to promote the growing of Jatropha curcas as a source of affordable rural energy, Green Africa Foundation partners with Kolping Organization of Kenya to educate local farmers on Jatropha establishment and its application in rural areas. Training has been held successfully in Kitui where most of the local farmers embraced the new idea that seemed to have evaded them in yester years. More training sessions will be held that will cover the whole country in collaboration with Kolping organization.
Other training programmes that have been initiated and going on the Jatropha carcus bio-diesel production are in:
• Mpeketoni in lamu district
• Mbooni constituency in Machakos district
• Catholic churches farming initiatives in Machakos district
