tree_nursery.jpgGreen Africa Foundation is an African organization founded in 2000 to support ecological and environmental conservation with a particular focus in arid and semi arid lands of Africa where poverty is most prevalent. The Foundation focuses on capacity development of poor communities through a partnership approach that integrates environmental conservation and community livelihoods. This approach ensures that communities engage in livelihood activities that are friendly to the environment.

We aim at creating health, wealth and restoring peace through making Africa a green continent, we aim for a green Africa.

Strategic Focus

As a way of recognizing the potential of the youth in environmental conservation, Green Africa Foundation undertakes sporting activities around the country aimed at enlightening the youth on importance of fruits1.jpgsustainable environmental conservation. The Foundation advocates for a peaceful co-existence between communities and eco-system.

Main Objectives

In supporting her vision and Mission, the foundation employs a number of strategies namely.

  1. Reduction of ecological imbalances created by environmental degradation
  2. Promotion of environment friendly economic and social practices
  3. Engaging local communities, using organized groups in environmental affairs
  4. Promotion of sports as an entry point to environment and conservation
  5. Increase attention to policy challenges and increased policy dialogue in support of environment
