This is the core activity of all Green Africa villages and it aims at increasing Kenya’s forest cover from the present 2%to the world’s recommended of 10%.it involves tree nursery establishment, afforestation and agro-forestry.
Green Africa Foundation has contributed towards increasing the forest cover through advocacy and establishment of various tree nurseries in the Green Africa villages. In learning institutions, the Foundation promotes environmental conservation awareness by incorporating environmental conservation in educational programmes.
At the Green Africa Centre of Excellence in Kitui, the Foundation produces more than 800,000 tree seedlings each year
