Green Africa Foundation believes in partnership, in achieving its dream of a ‘Green Africa’. Below are our partners:




 Prince Albert II Monaco Foundation    

Green Africa Foundation with the funding from Prince Albert II of Monaco foundation initiated Jatropha Curcas production as a bio-diesel source, covering all stages and activities involved in making the technology sustainable and commercially viable.

The project will facilitate a market development process for Jatropha Curcas, a renowned crop in bio-diesel production and other by products that have significant value for cottage industry.

    
     UNEP    

Green Africa supports the Billion tree initiatives well known as the plant of the year tree and applauds the minds behind this noble course. As an environmental conscious organization the Foundation has partnered with the United Nations Environmental Programmes in planting 4 million trees. The efforts are still going higher.




   IAAF World Cross Country Championships (Mombasa, Kenya 2007) 


Green Africa Foundation is an environment conscious organization which participated in preparation for the IAAF event held in March 2007 in Kenya. For the first time in the history of the world cross country championships, IAAF used recycled plastic to fence the starting point, course, and the finishing point.


The Founding chairman, Mr. Isaac P. Kalua after close analysis of the world cross country championships held previously had observed the usage of plastic poles in the marking of the field. The chairman presented his initiative to the IAAF president Lamine Diack who agreed that wooden poles to replace the plastic poles for the 2007 IAAF World Cross Country held in Mombasa, Kenya.
Hiroshima University in Japan

Through the student exchange programme, the university has engaged in technological
 and information transfer from Japan to Kenyan Farmers in the field of Bio-diesel, Forest
Management & Conservation and Agriculture.
 
     Ministry of Energy 

  
The resent rise in oil crisis in the Middle East has now been translated to a real problem to the Africa situation, Kenya being a major culprit. Economically and socially life has gone down prompting many governments and private institutions to action.
Kenya government, through the ministry of energy is at the brown stage in finalizing policies that will foresee the use of renewable energy become a reality in Kenya. In this venture, Green Africa Foundation together with other stakeholders are working with the ministry of energy in promoting the Jatropha Curcas potential in Kenya.


    

Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources
Through various initiatives focusing on environmental conservation and awareness creation, Green Africa Foundation works with the ministry and related bodies to promote peaceful and clean environment initiatives like waste management and recycling.

Through the ministry of environment, the foundation received the letter of authority to spearhead the mass production, marketing and processing of Jatropha products from the Jatropha tree seeds.

 Kenya Forest Research Institute    

KEFRI has been instrumental in afforestation and environmental awareness programmes that the Foundation has been engaged in. Since our partnership, we have worked extensively in promoting environmental conservation in ASAL regions of the country by developing technologies for management of trees, developing provenance of tree-seedlings suitable for dry lands and capacity building.


  Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Services (KEPHIS)  


Green Africa Foundation provides certified seeds and seedlings to farmers throughout the country. KEPHIS as the lead quality assurance expertise in agricultural produce has been instrumental in identifying the best provenance for different parts of the country.




 Kenya Forest Services    

 
Kenya Forest Services supports the environmental conservation efforts of Green Africa Foundation throughout the country through sustainable forest and conservation programs.



 University of Nairobi   

Partnering in research in bio-technology (bio-diesel), information and technological transfer to Kenyan farmers, internship programmes and environmental sustainable projects.



 Bamburi – Lafarge,     

         
Tree-planting in schools, having distributed 40,000 seedlings in 2008 to over 30 schools in the country

Japan Bicycle Parking Facility (JBPF)

Green Africa Foundation is the first recipient of the bicycle donation in Africa from the JBPF. The Japan organization has entered into a five year partnership with Green Africa Foundation to distribute 2000 bicycles to in rural areas, with the aim to enhance mobility of communities to access essential services.
        
   Auto-terminal Japan          

 
Green Africa Foundation and Auto terminal Japan have entered into a partnership. For every car exported to Kenya, Auto Terminal Japan donates a tree per car.

CROWN BERGER
 Crown Berger has partnered with Green Africa Foundation, to plant a tree for every liter of paint purchased by dealers and immediately specified by architects. The partnership was launched at Makini Primary School where 3000 trees were planted along the Nairobi River.

TROCAIRE has partnered with Green Africa Foundation to empower communities on improving their livelihoods through training on agro-forestry and bio-fuel production.
